Findley State Park

A 838-acre park surrounding Findley Lake (93 acres) in Lorain County. The Buckeye Trail passes through the park on its 1,444-mile route around Ohio. Findley Lake has good bass and panfish, with a boat ramp and electric-motor-only restriction keeping it peaceful. 10 miles of hiking trails through beech-maple forest. The Hickory Grove and Larch Trail loops are particularly scenic. Campground has 270 sites. A solid day-trip from Cleveland (45 min) for hiking, fishing, and picnicking.
