Using GoScram

GoScram is a free tool that provides weather-powered outdoor activity recommendations for Ohio. By using the site, you agree to these terms. They're straightforward — we want you to have a good time outside, and we want to be upfront about what GoScram is and isn't.

Informational Purpose Only

GoScram provides recommendations and information for planning outdoor activities. This information is offered as a helpful guide, not a guarantee. Specifically:

• •Weather forecasts are sourced from the National Weather Service and may not reflect actual conditions at your location. Weather changes. Check conditions before heading out.
• •Trail and park conditions can change without notice due to weather, maintenance, or seasonal closures. GoScram is not responsible for trail conditions, closures, or hazards.
• •Activity scores are algorithmic recommendations based on weather data, not safety assessments. Always use your own judgment.
• •Water conditions (river levels, flow rates) are from USGS and may be delayed. Check current conditions before paddling or wading.

Your Responsibility

Outdoor activities carry inherent risks. You're responsible for your own safety, preparation, and decisions. GoScram helps you find things to do — it doesn't replace checking conditions yourself, telling someone where you're going, or bringing proper gear. Know your limits, respect the land, and follow all posted rules at parks and public lands.

User-Submitted Content

If you submit events, tips, or other content to GoScram, you grant us permission to display that content on the site. We may edit submissions for clarity or formatting. Don't submit anything you don't have the right to share.

Data Accuracy

We pull data from public sources including the National Weather Service, ODNR, NPS, USGS, and OpenStreetMap. While we work to keep information current and accurate, we can't guarantee the completeness or accuracy of third-party data. If you spot something wrong, please let us know.

Limitation of Liability

GoScram is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on the information provided, including but not limited to injuries, property damage, or losses related to outdoor activities.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of GoScram after changes constitutes acceptance. We'll update the date at the top when changes are made.
