Hinckley Reservation — Buzzard Roost

Cleveland Metroparks reserve famous for the annual 'Return of the Buzzards' — turkey vultures arrive on March 15 every year like clockwork since 1957. Hinckley Lake offers fishing, boating, and a swimming area. Whipp's Ledges provide excellent bouldering and top-rope rock climbing on 350-million-year-old Sharon conglomerate. The Buckeye Trail passes through the reservation. 12+ miles of hiking and bridle trails wind through mature hardwood forest. The ledges are spectacular in fall foliage and after winter ice storms.
