Mohican State Forest & Park

One of Ohio's most scenic areas where the Mohican River cuts through thick hemlock gorges. The Clear Fork River is the state's best catch-and-release trout stream. Mohican Adventures offers canoe and kayak livery services. The forest has 5 backpacking trails and the 23-mile Mohican-Memorial State Forest multi-use trail. Covered Bridge Trail passes through old-growth hemlock groves. The area has cabins, yurts, and Camp Mohaven. Fall foliage here rivals New England, peaking mid-October.
