Nelson-Kennedy Ledges State Park

A compact but dramatic park in Portage County featuring massive Sharon conglomerate rock formations. Narrow passages like Fat Man's Peril, Dwarf's Pass, and Old Maid's Kitchen create an adventure-playground feel for hikers. The Devil's Icebox stays cold year-round. The 2-mile trail loop navigates through crevices, under overhangs, and past a small waterfall. One of the most unique geological areas in Ohio. Not wheelchair accessible — involves scrambling and tight squeezes. Best visited spring through fall.
