Southeast Ohio

Ohio's crown jewel of outdoor recreation. Hocking Hills features stunning sandstone formations, waterfalls, and gorges carved over millions of years. The park's signature trails — Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Conkle's Hollow, and Rock House — draw over 3 million visitors annually. Best visited spring through fall when waterfalls are flowing. Winter offers ice formations and fewer crowds. The park has cabins, camping, and a nature center. Located in the unglaciated Appalachian Plateau, the terrain is dramatically different from flat western Ohio.
